The Metaalunie is the business organization for small and medium-sized enterprises in the metal. It counts 13,000 rural members in all sectors of the metal and engineering. The members have a combined turnover of 20 billion euros and employ over 150,000 people. There are affiliated companies engaged in mechanical engineering, metal goods, process control, electronics, engineering, welding and construction, tooling, castings, marine industry, machining, sheet metal fabrication, surface treatment, agricultural machinery, steel construction, overhaul and maintenance, as well as enterprises in trade and service.
